Kinolau Herbal Remedies is a Lāʻau Lapaʻau (Hawaiian Medicine) based company and is kanaka & wahine owned and operated.  It was started back in 2015 out of necessity for our ʻohana to have access to natural, Hawaiʻi based healing alternatives.

My name is Jenna (Hōkū) Scanlan and I am a 7th generation Hawaiian healer by way of my mother’s genealogy. Our Tūtū Lady, Luka Kinolau, was raised in Niuliʻi, Kohala on Hawaiʻi Island. She was trained by her grandmother in the art of Hawaiian medicine and traditional midwifery. Being a descendant of Luka Kinolau and her lineage, I feel as though I was born with a passion for these practices. I was also very fortunate to have studied under my Kumu Krista Savio, a student and very close friend of the late Lāʻau Lapaʻau, Levon Ohai.

Our products are handmade in small batches with ingredients that are harvested here in Hawaiʻi such as ʻōlena, laukahi, pōhinahina, ʻaʻaliʻi and more! It is our hope that you find what you need to be able to heal yourself and your loved ones. Mahalo for your support! E ola ka lāʻau lapaʻau!
